VertiGo – A Wall-Climbing Robot

Wait, wait, hol’ up. At remote control car that can drive up walls? Do you know how much havoc I could have wreaked with one of these??? I would have drove my mom CRAZY. This is the VertiGo wall climbing robot which was developed by Disney Research Zurich and ETH. I wonder what new sci-fi movie is going to feature this baby. I want one … or two.

The science behind this is that it uses two propellers that are able to rotate independently of one another. One propeller thrust it upwards and the other towards the wall then the wheels help steer it. Pretty cool huh? (BTW I went to Disney for the first time last year and it was amaze-balls.)
